This information is for children and
young people who are getting any help from Children’s Social
Care.
Children’s Social Care wants to hear
from you. They want to know what works well and what doesn’t.
If you are unhappy about the way you are treated, the place
you live, or the help you get from Children’s Social Care, please
tell us. We want to try to put it right.
You can speak to someone you can trust,
like a foster carer or a social worker. They should be able
to solve your problem with you. If your problem is still not
solved, or you’re still not happy, you can complain to the Children's
Participation Officer - see the Contact details on this page
- or complain
online.
Anything you say will only be passed
on to people who need to know.
Need some help?
If you find it hard to do by yourself, you can have an advocate
to help you. This could be anyone you choose, for example, a
relative, a teacher, a carer, a friend, or a family member.
NSPCC provides an independent advocacy service, or you can contact
the Children’s Participation Officer.
What happens next?
We will try to put things right for you. The Children’s Participation
Officer will get in touch with you to let you know that we have
got your complaint. We will let you know what is happening and
try to sort it out within 14 days.
